Shay Geyer, a talented designer from IBB Design in Texas, has an innovative blog named Designer Detective. She appears on Good Morning Texas as the design expert every Friday at 9:00 am. Her blog and weekly show are filled with enthusiasm and solutions for the challenges you encounter with design projects.
She recently shared a picture of a beautiful room home that she completed for a client. She turned to Hickory Chair for many pieces. The Mark Hampton Spool Chair, the Kate Cocktail Table by Alexa Hampton along with a Charles Hassock complement each other. These pieces are made by hand in our Hickory workroom. The Spool Chair is made from mahogany and each spindle is turned by hand to create the distinctive form. A dark stain was used in combination with the soft blue green tones of the fabric. The Charles Hassock's striped fabric picks up the tones in the fabric. The Kate Cocktail Table was finished in one of the dozens of paint finishes and then hand striped in an antique rub silver paint. The tones of the fabric and painted finish create an elegant environment.
