A very special event is being held by the ASID Florida South Chapter at the Miromar Design Center in Estero, Florida during the month of May. The event at the Miromar Design Center is entitled "Tea at Highclere Castle". Highclere Castle in Great Britain is where the popular PBS show "Downton Abbey" is filmed, which is the epitome of gracious living.
It is our honor at Hickory Chair to have made the pieces for the event. The Boden Dining Table from the James River Collection was crafted from Ash solids and veneers then was hand finished in optional Weathered Mineral paint and then fitted with Antique Nickel ferrules. A pair of hand-carved mahogany London Arm Chairs from the Mariette Himes Gomez Collection in Birch paint flank the table along with a pair of Lindsay Arm Chairs available with or without casters. Also shown is the Duchamp Sideboard that has been finished in a combination of Antique Ivory paint with Weathered Mineral paint behind the grills on the door fronts.
The tablescapes on display the entire month of May are not only wonderful to enjoy viewing, but are part of a silent auction that benefits the student scholarship fund of the ASID chapter. If you are interested in participating in the ASID South Florida Chapter "Tea at Highclere Castle" event on May 23rd, please contact Peggy at peggy@peggyoberlininteriors.com for more information.
We thank Peggy of Peggy Oberlin Interiors and Vivian, manager of the Henredon Showroom where Hickory Chair is prominently represented at the Miromar Design Showroom, for their wonderful tablescape display which we are sure will be enjoyed by all who visit. When you stop into the Miromar Design Center, make sure you stop by to see Vivian, Lindsay and Kirk who just returned from HCC University where they not only spent a few days in our High Point and Hickory Showrooms but also toured our 600,000 square foot workroom where over 600 artisans and craftsment make each piece to order. Why settle for standard when you can have it made?
